Currently, the age range of participants is from 14 years of age to 86 years! The primary age group of women who attend programs at the Center are  between the ages of 30 and 70. Of the Center's members, about 90% are women, and 10% are men. Some couples hold a joint membership in the Center.

Most of the WOMANSPACE programs draw women from the greater Rockford area, as well as from northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.  For some of its larger programs, however, the Center attracts people from Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana, southern Illinois and occasionally as far away as Maryland, Oklahoma, South Carolina, and even California!

WOMANSPACE is an interfaith center, offering programming that addresses many issues of spirituality without being affiliated with any one denomination or belief system. Persons who attend WOMANSPACE find it to be a safe, nonjudgmental place in which to explore and expand their own beliefs in the company of others on their own spiritual journeys.  

In a survey of its members, WOMANSPACE discovered that its members and participants are affiliated with major religions in the following percentages: 40% Catholic, 40% Protestant, 10% Jewish, Buddhist or Unitarian, and about 10% affiliated with no formal religion.
