Dorothy Bock
As Development Director and Cofounder, Dorothy is daring, direct and dedicated. She inspires, empowers and creates the present and future of her life and Womanspace. Through her artistry and energy, she communicates passion, honesty and vision. Dorothy envisions the future of Womanspace to promoting mutuality, compassion, and inclusiveness that works for justice, peace, and a healthy planet. She is the recipient of numerous awards as an artist and educator.
Dorothy received a BA in English Literature from Alverno College, an MA in English Literature from Marquette University, and an MFA in painting and sculpture from the University of Notre Dame. She did further work in communications and humanities at Northern Illinois University. She is a member of School Sisters of Saint Francis, exhibiting her painting and sculpture in the Milwaukee, Chicago and Rockford areas. Her extensive works of poetry will be published by 2010.
