Gale Ketteler
Raised on a farm outside Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, Gale studied at Mount Holyoke College in Massachusetts, the oldest women’s college in the world. She spent two summers in Europe and earned a double degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Music Performance and Communication Arts (Radio, TV, Film).
Prior to joining the staff of Womanspace in July 2007, Gale served three years as a member and volunteer on the Marketing Committee. For 20 years she worked at television and radio stations in Wisconsin, Illinois and New York. Her networking contacts are extensive and she serves as a board member for Vegetarians in Motion. Gale has been active in the American Advertising Federation-Northern Illinois, Rockford Chamber of Commerce, Rockford Network of Professional Women, and River District Association. Gale’s areas of expertise are promotional writing, media relations and marketing. She is also a professional classical soprano who has performed as a soloist with Madison Opera, Madison Symphony, Beloit Janesville Symphony, Rockford Symphony, and Opera for the Young.
Visitors to Womanspace are often greeted by Gale, who loves to show guests our beautiful campus. She is lovingly referred to as “the mouthy one” due to her comfort with public speaking and media interviews. Gale has lived in Rockford since 1995 with her husband and their canine companions.
