Trish Black
Volunteer Coordinator
Prior to joining Womanspace Trish has worn many hats—Special Educator, Social Service Program Director, Behavior Consultant, Choir Director, Stay-at-home Mom, and Office Manager. She has an eye for detail and is very skilled at creating simple, straightforward systems. Trish loves to collaborate and to build community—especially the community of Womanspace. She is intuitive about people and their needs. Trish looks forward to broadening the base of volunteers for Womanspace and matching those volunteers to meaningful and much needed tasks to further the mission of Womanspace.
Trish received her Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Illinois State University and her Master of Science from University of Wisconsin – Madison. Trish developed her skills simply from living life and embracing all it teaches us.
Outside of Womanspace, Trish loves to travel, hike, bike, cook, and entertain. She is passionate about fitness and enjoys spending time at the Y. She plays the piano and sings simply for her own enjoyment but delights in sharing music with others. Trish is married and the mother of three grown, wonderful children and two adorable West Highland Terriers.
