Professional psychological counseling services are available for women and their families at WOMANSPACE with Lenora T. Maier, Ph.D. Appointments for counseling may be made directly with Dr. Maier by calling the Center’s phone number, 815-877-0118. There is a charge for these services. 

Both of the Co-Directors have trained extensively in Process Facilitation. Dorothy Bock specializes in career counseling and Elaine Hirschenberger in massage therapy.  Appointments for individual sessions with either of the Co-Directors are available on a limited basis. There is a charge for these services. 

WOMANSPACE has a library of almost 3000 books which may be borrowed by members of the Center for a period of one month.  

Library resources also include magazines, journals, audio and video tapes, filmstrips and slides. Audio tapes may be used in the library. Videos may be rented for $2 per tape per week.  

A book-drop is available by the front door of the Center for easy return of materials at times when the Center is not open. A fine of 5¢ per day is charged for overdue books; a fine of $1 is charged for overdue videos. Complete library rules can be found in the library itself.  

LIBRARY HOURS generally coincide with open Center hours; the library may be used at other times by calling 877-0118 to be sure a staff person or volunteer is at the Center.
