All are welcome. We will watch the film while eating dinner and then have a discussion of the film, characters, and artistry.

This documentary is a biography of Jane Goodall, primatologist and conservationist. It is particularly concerned with her spiritual development, and her message of hope that, working together, humans can overcome our differences and make the world safe and habitable for ourselves and the creatures our choices impact. 1999 | NR | 60 min.

All women are invited to these discussions to share observations, enthusiasm, insights and the pure enjoyment of reading.

The historical mistreatment and misunderstanding of women’s health by the medical system continues to affect women today. As a breast oncologist, Comen uses her own experiences and extensive research to detail how women have been dismissed, pathologized, and ignored, using the eleven organ systems as a framework to reveal how patriarchal beliefs have shaped medical guidance. The book serves as both a historical account and a call to action for women to advocate for themselves in healthcare.
