Since 1975, Womanspace has been a place where people can reconnect, grow, and feel supported — physically, mentally, and spiritually. Through art, wellness, education, and community, we help create space for reflection, creativity, and meaningful connection in the Rockford, IL area.
We are committed to continuing this work for years to come, but we cannot do it without the support of our community. Your donation helps sustain our programs, care for our campus, and ensure that Womanspace remains a welcoming and accessible resource for all.

Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) Donations
If you’re age 70½ or older and have an IRA, you can make a direct gift to Womanspace from your required minimum distribution (RMD) — up to $100,000 — without paying income tax on that amount.
This option can be especially helpful if you don’t need your full RMD for personal expenses. By giving in this way, you can:
- Fulfill your required minimum distribution
- Avoid paying income tax on the gifted amount
- Support Womanspace programs and community impact
To make a gift, request that a check from your IRA be made payable directly to Womanspace. We recommend consulting your financial advisor to fully understand this option and if it is right for you.
