Explore the deep-rooted traditions of my family through the lens of two recipes: my grandmother’s generational Chocolate and our generational Mole Oaxaqueño. Rooted in the rich heritage of Oaxaca (pronounced waa haa kuh), both recipes center on cacao as more than just an ingredient — it’s a symbol of memory, identity, and connection. We’ll share not only the flavors, but the stories and techniques passed down through generations. For my family, food is our gathering place — each meal, a celebration of culture, resilience, and love. Through this workshop, I invite you into our kitchen, where history lives and community is nourished. (The chocolate is dairy-free. Mole is dairy-free, but cooked with meat.)
